MPU-6050 3-Axis Gyro Accel Module

A dedicated 6DOF motion sensing module based on the MPU-6050 IC. Features 2.54 mm pin spacing for universal breadboard and header compatibility. PCB uses immersion gold surface treatment and machine-welded joints to ensure repeatability and durability. Operates from 3–5 V DC and communicates via standard I²C bus — requiring only two signal lines plus power and ground. Includes an integrated 16-bit ADC for precise digitisation of both gyroscope and accelerometer outputs. Configurable gyroscope ranges: ±250, ±500, ±1000, ±2000 °/s. Configurable accelerometer ranges: ±2, ±4, ±8, ±16 g. No additional passive components needed for basic operation. The module supports register-level configuration over I²C, allowing developers to tailor bandwidth, filtering, and full-scale range to match application demands — such as low-latency gesture detection or high-accuracy step counting. Its monolithic sensor architecture avoids calibration drift between separate gyro and accel units, improving long-term orientation fidelity. Commonly applied in motion-controlled games, augmented reality devices, electronic image stabilization (EIS), optical image stabilization (OIS), indoor pedestrian navigation, touchless gesture interfaces, and posture-based command activation — all validated in commercial and prototyping contexts across the UK and Europe.
