MT6835 Brushless Motor Encoder Module

This encoder module implements the MT6835 magnetic sensor IC to deliver precise, contactless absolute angle measurement from 0° to 360°. Mounted on a 22.5 mm square PCB (8.5 mm height), it weighs only 5 g and accepts 3.3–5.0 V power. Operating temperature range is −40 °C to +125 °C. Digital interface options include high-speed 4-wire SPI (21-bit angle, up to 16 MHz), ABZ quadrature (1–16384 lines), and UVW commutation (1–16 pole pairs). Built-in calibration supports up to five online zero programming cycles, with typical linearity deviation below ±0.02° after self-calibration. Includes one encoder unit and one matched magnet for direct shaft-side mounting. Its fast 2–10 µs response time and 120,000 RPM continuous rating make it suitable for demanding brushless motor applications — especially where space, weight, and EMI resilience matter. Unlike optical encoders, it tolerates oil mist, metal shavings, and condensation without degradation. The integrated magnet eliminates alignment uncertainty and reduces mechanical tolerance stack-up in compact motor assemblies. Targeted at OEMs building next-generation power tools, collaborative robots, and electric power steering units, this module shortens development cycles by replacing complex resolver-to-digital converters or multi-chip Hall arrays with a single, calibrated, drop-in solution.
