Read the instructions before use. Open the battery door and insert 2 batteries (AAA). Press "SET" to select whether to measure body temperature or surface temperature. Hold the thermometer's measuring lens 3-5 centimeters away from what you want to measure. Place a finger on the button and press it, and the thermometer will start automatically and the measurement result will be shown on the display. You can repeat the measurement several times for a safe result. An infrared fever thermometer measures the external skin temperature. It has the advantage of being fast and contactless, but cannot be compared to rectal measurement. Since external factors can affect the measurement result with a fever thermometer, it is mainly recommended to get an idea of whether you have a fever or not. The difference between rectal measurement and forehead temperature can be up to 1.5 C. It is therefore important that when a fever thermometer shows an elevated temperature, confirm this with a rectal thermometer (for children) and a rectal or oral thermometer (for adults).
