OdourProof Washing Machine Floor Drain

A high-integrity floor drain engineered to eliminate odours and prevent overflow in washing machine drainage applications. Compact profile suits standard floor recesses; net weight is 0.8 kg. Manufactured from rigid, non-porous PVC with food-grade silicone sealing components. Core architecture is fully modular: users can configure as a tee, bend or straight run — all secured via push-fit connections and capped with a removable sealing cover for instant trap access. Dual protection comprises a screw-in sealing plug and long-life deodorising cores containing activated carbon and mineral zeolite. Self-closing cores activate exclusively during water flow — opening wide for unrestricted discharge and snapping shut post-cycle to maintain an airtight barrier. Pipe interface uses four precision silicone rings covering 32 mm, 38 mm, 40 mm and 46 mm diameters — each selected for optimal compression ratio and creep resistance at UK ambient temperatures. Validated for continuous use with detergent-laden greywater and repeated thermal cycling (5–40°C), showing zero degradation in seal integrity after 12 months of accelerated testing. Suited to noise-sensitive environments (e.g., upstairs flats), thanks to silent self-closing action and vibration-dampening silicone interfaces — no clatter or gurgling sounds during or after drainage cycles.
