No additional greasing is necessary. The silicone mats are for baking macarons, chocolate cookies, cinnamon rolls and home-baked bread as well as for preparing sticky caramel candies or baked salmon with garlic and lemon. They are also suitable as a base for bubbling stew pans or overflowing fruit cakes, as they catch splashes and drops and thus keep the oven and baking tray clean and make the use of disposable aluminum foil superfluous.
