Stainless 40μm Sediment Pre Filter

This 1/2 inch sediment pre-filter is manufactured to meet the operational demands of UK domestic water systems. Its robust stainless steel housing and end caps are welded and pressure-tested to 10 bar burst rating, though rated for continuous use up to 6 bar working pressure. Overall dimensions: 15 cm × 5 cm; weight: 280 g. The filtration element consists of a rigid, seamless 40 μm (300 mesh) stainless steel screen mounted within a self-supporting frame — engineered to maintain structural integrity across repeated cleaning cycles and thermal expansion from ambient temperature fluctuations. It removes insoluble solids including ferrous rust, siliceous sand, limescale chips, and organic debris — all of which contribute to reduced efficiency and accelerated wear in water-using appliances. Intended for cold water lines only, it installs directly before washing machines, electric storage heaters, and pressure washers — forming the first line of defence against particulate ingress. Maintenance requires no tools: simply unscrew the base, discard trapped sediment, rinse the screen, and reinstall — typically every 6–10 weeks in average UK water areas.
