This is a hiking guidebook and a hiking map for the Taygetos Massif that extends for 70km on the southern tip of mainland Greece, between Sparta and Kalamata.  This guidebook describes 18 hiking routes through a dense network of challenging trails and rugged gorges, as well as a separate map (scale 1:25,000) of the Taygetos Mountains. The 18 routes are divided into the following areas; Laconian, Messinian, Centre and North side of Taygetos, as well as a crossing of the Taygetos ridgeline.  For each route there is a map, description, altitude profile, duration, distance, degree of difficulty, vegetation, sights, and links to other trails. This guidebook is aimed at walkers of all levels with the routes dived into 4 levels of difficulty: green = easy, blue = intermediate, red = demanding, and black = very difficult. Published in August 2021 by Anavasi and is map number 8.1.  The text and legend of this map and guidebook is in English and Greek throughout.  The guidebook includes many inspiring photographs of all the 18 routes described.
