USB Motion Activated Switch For Pet Fountains

Physical dimensions: 45mm × 45mm × 30mm. Housing material: high-grade ABS plastic — rigid, flame-retardant and resistant to daily handling. Electrical spec: DC 5V, 1A input via USB; includes 1.8m upstream cable and 0.19m downstream cable. Detection method: passive infrared (PIR), responding to thermal radiation from living beings. Range: up to 3 metres, field of view: 180° horizontal. Auto-off delay: fixed 30 seconds post-detection. Strictly for indoor, dry installations — avoid damp areas or proximity to water sources. This switch functions as an intelligent inline gate: power flows only when motion is confirmed, cutting fountain runtime dramatically. It requires no internal battery, no Wi-Fi, no subscription — just physical USB connectivity. Mounting flexibility comes from dual options: industrial-strength adhesive tape or M3 screws (included). All components meet RoHS and REACH standards for sale in the UK and EU. Designed for compatibility across brands — tested with leading UK-sold fountains including those using standard micro-USB or USB-C inputs. Helps reduce electricity costs over time and supports veterinary advice on encouraging frequent, small-volume hydration — especially valuable for senior cats prone to urinary issues.
