Quartet Records present the soundtrack album of Martin Scorsese's production ESCAPE, the new collaboration between<br />Victor Reyes (Emmy Award winner for the score of THE NIGHT MANAGER) and multi-awarded director Rodrigo Cortes,<br />following their previous successful films together: THE CONTESTANT, BURIED, RED LIGHTS, DOWN A DARK HALL and<br />LOVE GETS A ROOM.<br />ESCAPE is an unclassifiable film. It's not a comedy, it's not a drama, it's not an action film, but it's all of them at the same<br />time, or maybe not. It's about a young man who wants to live in prison and will do whatever it takes to get there, raising<br />questions such as whether those who care about him will be able to stop him from committing more and more serious<br />crimes.<br />Victor Reyes also provides an unusual, unclassifiable score--highly melodic, urban, intimate, acoustic. It is performed<br />basically with school and toy instruments (to which he adds the sound of a cello that speaks as the protagonist) along with<br />strings, harmonium, guitar, drums, percussion and piano.<br />The CD comes with a lavish 16-page booklet that includes liner notes by film director Rodrigo Cortes.
