Waxed Canvas Outdoor Foraging Bag

Size unfolded: 30 × 25 × 10 cm; folded: approx. 12 × 12 × 2 cm. Weight: 270 g. Fabric: heavyweight cotton canvas saturated with eco-certified wax — resistant to light rain, thorn snags, and salt-air corrosion. Hardware: nickel-free metal buckles with smooth, snag-free edges; loop sewn with bartack reinforcement. No synthetic linings, zips, or adhesives — fully recyclable at end-of-life. Cleaning: wipe with damp cloth; re-wax annually for optimal performance. Engineered for UK seasonal variability — performs reliably in cool, humid woodlands (where breathability prevents condensation), on windy headlands (where secure buckles prevent flap), and in tidal zones (where salt resistance prolongs hardware life). The open design supports frequent emptying and air-drying — vital for preventing mould when storing damp moss or seaweed overnight. Adopted by local foraging groups in Devon, Dorset, and Northumberland for shared harvests, educational workshops, and conservation monitoring — valued for consistency, ease of disinfection between users, and compatibility with existing belt-based field gear systems.
