Weatherproof 433MHz PIR Detector

Made from impact-resistant ABS plastic, this outdoor-rated PIR motion sensor is engineered for year-round UK and European outdoor deployment. Its detection range extends up to 12 metres at room temperature (25°C), covering a broad 110-degree horizontal field of view. It tolerates ambient light intensities up to 10,000 Lux — preventing false triggers from car headlights or bright daylight. Power comes from two AA batteries (not supplied), delivering 3V operation with ultra-low power consumption: standby current under 8μA and alarm current under 10mA. Transmission occurs at 433.92MHz, achieving up to 150 metres line-of-sight range. An integrated anti-tamper switch (normally closed) adds physical security, while a built-in LED illuminates for 3 seconds during alarm events. The sensor applies intelligent PIR analysis to suppress responses to non-human thermal patterns — particularly effective against domestic pets and rodents — making it ideal for homes with dogs, cats, or rural properties frequented by foxes or birds. Its wireless 433MHz interface supports broad interoperability with existing UK/EU alarm ecosystems.
